Yesterday was day 1 back on track. As day 1s typically go...it worked out without an issue. I woke up feeling pretty motivated and packed my meals for the day which consisted of the following:
Meal # 1 - MF Dark Chocolate Shake
Meal #2 - 10 baby carrots/10 wheat thins/2tbsp pesto hummus
Meal #3- 2 cups romaine/1/2c broccoli/ 6 oz. chicken breast / 2tbsp balsamic dressing
Meal #4 - Light string cheese and 1/4 cup grapes
I had a hard time getting all of my water in, in between reports and the other 10 million things I had to do. Come to think of it, the fact that I am able to find time to eat these meals throughout the day, yet do not stop to quench my thirst is highly amusing to me.. or I just love to eat.
My 5 year old son and I like to do the jog and ride thing...he rides, I run..and we went for 3 miles. Didn't do too bad considering its been a while and the fact that I've paired summer beers with its best friend the cigarette for about 3 months.
Dinner was phenomenal: Quinoa with sweet potato and garlic sauteed kale... even Aiden loved it.
I continued the first day motivation and got 50 sit-ups, 30 push-ups, 30 squats and 25 jumping jacks in. Felt pretty good about it. Then again, this was just day 1, lets hope this is the last day 1 I have in a VERY long time.
